Virginian-Pilot January 29, 1950
Mrs. Mary Fearon Purdy, wife of Charles E. Purdy, Sr., and daughter of the late 
John and Mrs. Rose Laracy Fearon, a native of Ireland and a resident of Norfolk 
for many years, died yesterday at 12:27 a.m., at the residence, 727 West 28th 
Street.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Charles E. Purdy, Jr.; three 
daughters, Miss Anne F. Purdy, Miss Louise V. Purdy and Mrs. Raymond A. Pollock; 
and two grandchildren, Betty Anne and Kathleen Pollock, all of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, tomorrow at 10 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the 
residence tonight at 7:30 o’clock.
