Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, August 5, 1998 
Inez A. Purvis of 701 Easy St., Apt. 305-A, died Aug. 3, 1998, in Sentara
Norfolk General Hospital.

She was born in Norfolk and was a member of Oakwood Chapel.

Survivors include her daughter, Iris G. Purvis of Norfolk; a son, Danny C.
Purvis of Norfolk; a sister, Marie P. Cuffee of Virginia Beach; a brother, John
Henry Purvis of Norfolk; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host
of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Oakwood Chapel by Bishop Clifton
N. White Jr. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home,
Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. The remains will be ready for viewing
from 3:30 to 8 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. The
family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. for the procession.
