The body was considerably decomposed. Subsequently a gentleman identified it as a Negro named Deal, who had been missing for some time. A colored man in whose company Deal was last seen was under arrest here recently under suspicion of having made way with Deal, but was afterwards released. The police authorities being satisfied that the “suspect” did not know anything about the missing man. The body was also recognized by a Negro today as that of Tom Pusey, of Scott’s Creek, Norfolk County. It was buried by the city as the remains of both Deal and Pusey.
