Virginian-Pilot, January 10, 1908
Mrs. Mary A. Putnam, wife of John L. Putnam, died at her home, 322 Railroad 
Avenue, Brambleton, at 12:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon after several weeks 
illness, during which she was kindly treated by neighbors and the Rev. John R. McC
McConica of the Union Mission. They administered to her every want and those of h
her children in food, fuel and otherwise in every way possible.
During the last day on earth, Mr. McConica visited her and offered her the c
consolation of the religion of Christ.
The funeral will be held from her late residence at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon.
