Norfolk - Herbert E. Pye Sr. of 894 Avenue A, died in a hospital.  A native of 
Hampton, he was a son of the late Harry P. and Mrs. Sarah Pye.

He worked for C. B. White Coal Oil Co. and retired, and was a member of 
Macedonia Holiness Church.
Besides his widow, surviving are two sons, Herbert E. Pye Jr., of Norfolk and 
Herbert Price of Los Angeles;  a brother, Archie Carter of Norfolk;  and two 
grandchildren.

Graves Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
