A native of Winchester, he was a son of John H. and Mrs. Gertrude Moss Quiett and the husband of the late Mrs. Nellie B. Quiett. He was a 36-year retired employe of the Norfolk Custom House and a deacon of Queen Street Baptist Church. He was a member of Queen of Norfolk National Beneficial Society 211 and Ida Ewell Neighborhood Club and president of Senior Citizens Club of Queen Street. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Doris Justis of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Francis Challenger of the Bronx NY; two grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Queen Street Baptist Church by the Rev. J. Jasper Freeman. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at noon from Riddick Funeral Service.
