Norfolk - John E. Quinerly of 1267 Factory street died Tuesday, May 15, at 7:40
a.m. at a local hospital. He had been confined to bed for eight days. Mr.
Quinerly was born in North Carolina but had lived in Norfolk most of his life.
He was a deacon of Holy Temple Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Roberta
Quinerly; eight daughters: Mesdames Johnnie Q. Branch, Janie Hines, Goldie
Bradley, Rosa Allen, Mary Custis, Misses Dora, Gaddie and Martha Quinerly; two
sons, James H. and Robert Quinerly; three grandsons; five granddaughters, five
sons-in-law and numerous other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Temple Sunday, May 20, at 1 p.m. with
Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.
