Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark October 5, 1921

Charles Lawrence Quinn, 74 years old, died shortly after noon yesterday at a 
Norfolk hospital after a protracted illness .Mr. Quinn was well known in 
Norfolk, having served as deputy city sergeant for forty-two years. He is 
survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Scribner Quinn, one son, Thomas J. Quinn and 
two daughters, Mrs. Walter W. Bainbridge and Miss Elizabeth F. Quinn, all of 
Norfolk. The body will be taken from the home, 608 Freemason Street, to St. 
Mary's Catholic Church for funeral services at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. 
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

QUINN, CHARLES LAWRENCE – In this city, Tuesday, October 4, 1921, at 12:45 
o’clock p.m., CHARLES LAWRENCE QUINN, in the 75th year of his age.
Remains will be taken from the residence, 608 East Freemason Street, to St. 
Mary’s Catholic Church for a funeral service THURSDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock. 
Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
