Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, July 18, 1995 
Jimmie Raby, 45, of the 500 block of Ocean Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y., died July 14,
1995, in Brooklyn.

He was a native of Norfolk and was the organist with Christ Fellowship Baptist
Church. He was a former member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Norfolk. After
leaving Norfolk, he became a member of Christ Fellowship Baptist Church in
Queens, N.Y.

He is survived by his son, Kyle Donovan McCray of Queens, N.Y.; his parents,
Mary Lou and Walter Raby Sr.; two sisters, Mattie R. Cousins, and Mannila R.
Ameris, both of Norfolk; one half-sister, Shirley Durant of Bronx, N.Y.; one
brother, Walter Raby Jr. of Queens, N.Y.; one half-brother, Raymond Durant of
Hawaii; one grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Bethlehem Baptist Church, Link
and Marshall Avenues, Norfolk, by the Rev. M. Branch. Burial will be at Calvary
Cemetery . The body will be at the church at 11 a.m. The family will assemble at
921 Workwood Road, Norfolk. Hale Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
