Raby, died yesterday morning at 11:50 o'clock at the residence, 1505 Granby street, after a long illness. He was a native of Cypress Chapel, and had resided in Norfolk practically all his life. For many years he was in the employ of the City Welfare Department until his retirement several years ago because of ill health. Besides his wife, Mr. Raby is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Plass and Mrs. Pauline Brown, and a stepson, Albert L. Ward, all of Norfolk. The body will be taken to the residence this morning from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
