Norfolk Virginian Pilot May 3, 1940 

Joseph Ramey, aged 67 years, a native of Mt. Libnan, Syria, and a resident of 
Norfolk, for the past 28 years, died at 10:15 o'clock Wednesday night at a local 
hospital. Remains were removed to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 
Colonial Avenue, pending arrangements.

Joseph Ramey - The body of Mr. Ramey, whose death occurred Wednesday night will 
be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, to St. 
Mary’s Catholic Church for services Monday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will 
be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Mr. Ramey is survived by three children.
