Virginian-Pilot, October 13, 1918
Mrs. Vira Armstrong Randolph, wife of Charles Randolph, died at her residence, 
636 May Avenue, Saturday morning, October 12, at 4 o'clock, in the 24th year 
of her age. The funeral will take place at the grave in Cedar Grove Cemetery 
this Sunday morning at 11 o'clock, and will be conducted by Rev. L. G. 
Crutchfield. Mrs. Randloph is survived by her husband, one daughter, Sarah V. 
Randolph, her mother, Mrs. J. D. Armstrong, two brothers, Lieut. D. W. 
Armstrong, of France; J. D. Armstrong, of Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. J. D. 
Marchant, Misses Maxine and Hattie Armstrong, all of Norfolk.
