Virginian Pilot May 13, 1965

Mrs. Baltasara Rano, 87, of 936 Wakefield Ave., widow of Benito Rano, died 
Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in a hospital.
A native of Spain, she lived here 45 years.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Sarah Morris, Mrs. Mary Yanez and Mrs. 
Virginia Hister of Norfolk and Mrs. Lucia Altamirano of Los Angeles; two sons, 
Manuel Rano and Frank Rano of Norfolk; and a sister and a brother in Spain.
The Rosary will be recited in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Friday at 7:30 p.m.
A funeral service will be held in St. Mary's Catholic Church Saturday at 10 a.m. 
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

RANO, BALTASARA - At a local hospital Wednesday, May 12th, 1965, at 9:30 a.m., 
BALTASARA RANO, widow of Benito Rano and daughter of the late Francis and Mary 
Rey, in the 88th year of her age. Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for a funeral service 
Saturday at 10 a.m. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. 
Mary’s Cemetery.
