He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk. He was a son of the late Benito and Mrs. Baltasara Rey Rano. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a 1933 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Mary Yanez, Mrs. Sara Morris and Mrs. Virginia Hiser of Norfolk and Mrs. Lucia Altamirano of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a brother, Frank Rano of Norfolk The Rosary will be said in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 7:30. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Catholic Church Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. *********************************************************************** RANO, MANUEL JOSEPH — In a Hampton hospital, Sunday, MANUEL JOSEPH RANO, son of the late Benito and Mrs. Baltasara Rey Rano, in the 60th year of his age.
