Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark March 20, 1916
George Washington Raper, aged 21 years, died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at 
the home of his mother, Mrs. Maggie Creekmore, 94 McDonald street, South Norfolk.
He was a native of Hickory Ground, but had been a resident in South Norfolk for 
four months, and was a son of the late Richard Raper.  The funeral services will 
be conducted at the above residence this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock by Rev. R.N. 
Hartness, pastor of the Liberty Street Methodist Church and burial will be in the 
Magnolia Cemetery.
