Virginian Pilot October 16, 1902

The remains of Mr. W.W. Raper, who departed this life at Great Bridge, Norfolk 
County, Tuesday, were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, yesterday 
afternoon. The services at the grave were conducted by Rev. C.L. Bane, of the 
Cumberland Street Methodist Church. Mr. Raper was a member of Norfolk Council No. 
24, Jr. O.U.A. Mechanics and the following members of that council were the 
pallbearers: Messrs. A. Ayers, R. Smith, C.T. Satchell, B.S. Harrison, G.M. Booker 
and E.S. Godfrey.
