Mrs. Rasberry was born in Norfolk. She taught English at Union Kempsville and First Colonial high schools and was a guidance counselor at Green Run High School. She graduated from Virginia Union University and earned her master's degree from Hampton University. She was a member and elder of First United Presbyterian Church and a member of the District L Retired Teachers Association, the I. Sherman Green Chorale, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, United Order of Tents, Order of the Eastern Star Margaret Frances Chapter 101, the Bon Ton Club and Huntersville Civic League. Survivors include her husband, Tillman C. Rasberry; and a sister, Martha T. King of Riverside, Calif. The funeral will be conducted at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in First United Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Otis J. Wynn. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A Delta Sigma Theta memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in the church at 11:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the church.
