The Virginian Pilot February 12, 1958

Mrs. Ople Morrisette Rathell, 68, widow of George A. Rathell and mother of 
Chauncey A. German, died at a Tampa, Fla. hospital Saturday night.  Besides 
her son, she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Virgie L. Morrisette of Tampa and 
four grandchildren:  Mrs. Patricia G. Kelly, Miss Jean German, Miss Linda 
German and Robert German, all of Norfolk.
Mrs. Rathell was a native of Norfolk and had resided in Tampa for the past 12 
years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Thursday at 4 p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
