Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Ratliff who resided at 1359 Chicazola 
street, were held May 9 at 1:30 p.m. at New Calvary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ratliff died May 3 at 11:55 p.m. at a local hospital.  She was the 
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Grim Ratliff, was born in Lilesville, NC, 
but had lived in Norfolk for 41 years.

She is survived by her husband, Alexander Ratliff, one sister, Della Little 
of NC;  one brother, Walter Ratliff of NC;  one daughter, Mrs. Orlean 
Overton, and five sons, Grover, John,Alexander Jr., Royas, all of Brooklyn 
NY, and Henry of Baltimore.

The pastor, Rev. S. A. Wilson officiated at the services.  Burial was in 
Calvary Cemetery with the Hale Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
