Norfolk Virginian Tuesday October 9, 1894

The funeral of Mr. Fred Raukam, a most worthy citizen, who died at his home in 
South Norfolk Saturday morning after a lingering illness, took place Sunday 
afternoon at 3 o'clock in the South Norfolk Methodist Church and was conducted 
by the pastor, Rev. H.T. Waterfield.  Berkley Lodge No. 167, A.F. & A.M., of 
which he was a member, attended the funeral in a body.
Mr. Raukam was a native of Germany, but had been living in this country many 
years, in the course of which time he had made and retained hosts of friends 
by his conscientious dealings with his fellowmen and his high sterling 
character.
