The Norfolk Virginian Pilot January 14, 1955
Mrs. Katherine Sue Creekman Rawles, 86, widow of William J. Rawles, died at the 
residence, 2109 Lafayette Boulevard, yesterday at 1:30 a.m.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. W.T. Wynne and Mrs. Mary Louise Chapman; 
three sons, William Solomon Rawles, Edgar Leon Rawls and Percy Calvin Rawles; a 
sister, Mrs. Alice May Felts, all of Norfolk; 16 grandchildren, 27 
great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and 
nephews.Mrs. Rawles was a native of Battleboro, N.C., and had been a resident 
of Norfolk for 60 years.  She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and 
was the daughter of the late Solomon and Celiatia Whitley Creekman.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
