Virginian-Pilot April 4, 1882
Mr. Thomas R. Reardon, a well-known citizen of Norfolk, died at 7 o’clock on last 
Sunday evening at his residence, No. 160 Granby street, in the 57th year of his 
age, his death resulting from a severe paralytic shock. He had for some time been 
in infirm health, having suffered a previous stroke several months ago. Mr. 
Reardon was a native of Norfolk and had resided here during the whole of his life. 
Up to within a few years ago he had been engaged in the grocery business, but 
recently had not followed active commercial pursuits. His funeral will take place 
from St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10 o’clock this morning.
