Virginian Pilot November 26, 1956

Mrs. Julia A. Reaves, 78, of 8447 Frieden St., Larrymore Acres, died in a 
Norfolk hospital yesterday at 1 a.m. after an illness of several years.
A native of Anaston, Ala., she had resided here for the past 11 years. She was 
the wife of the late Tom Reaves.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Whaley, of Anaston, Ala. and Mrs. 
Margaret Laurent, of Norfolk; four sons, J.A. Reaves and Gordon Reaves, both of 
Norfolk, Jim Vinson of Citronelle, Ala. and Frank Vinson, of Anaston, Ala.; one 
brother, Charles Hester of Renfroe, Ala., 21 grandchildren and 14 great-
grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Sykes Funeral Home where funeral services will be 
conducted tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
