A funeral was held for her brother, Joseph Harris, at Zion Light Church on Wednesday. Final rites were held Thursday for her husband, the Rev. Clarence E. Redd Sr. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Both were buried in Paige Cemetery with the E. A. Hughes Funeral Home handling arrangements. Rev. Mr. Redd, who was 68 and a native of Norfolk, was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John T. Redd. He was a member of Christ Pentecostal Church and was educated at Norfolk Mission College and Virginia Union University. His survivors include a son, Clarence E. Redd Jr. of Cincinnati; six stepsons, James and Joseph Russell, David, Jonathan, Nathaniel and Levy Daugherty; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Cox, Mrs. Anna Moses, Mrs. Ruth Jones and Miss Mamie Daugherty; three uncles, M. E. and L. L. Hughes of Norfolk and the Rev. L. T. Hughes of Washington; an aunt, Mrs. Ellen Green, also of Norfolk; two grandchildren, 15 step grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
