Mrs. Reed was a native of Norfolk and was the widow of Augustus Crenshaw Reed Sr. She was a Navy Veteran of World War I and was retired from the Dixie Jute Manufacturing Company in Norfolk. Mrs. Reed was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Norfolk and King's Daughters Circle, Norfolk Chapter. Survivors include her son, A. Crenshaw Reed Jr. and his wife, Susan Roberts Reed formerly of Norfolk and now of Whitestone, Va.; three grandchildren, Anne Reed Harper and her husband, John P. Harper Jr. of Norfolk, Augustus Crenshaw Reed III and his wife, Carolyn Powers Reed of Roanoke, James Roberts Reed and his wife, Michelle Moody Reed of Winston Salem, N.C.; and seven great-grandchildren, Susan Harper, Elizabeth Harper, A. Crenshaw Reed IV, Cullen William Reed, Lea Bentley Reed, Caroline Reed, and Anna Walker Reed. Graveside services will be conducted at noon Thursday at Cedar Grove Cemetery by the Rev. Ross Wright. Memorial donations may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 7400 Hampton Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23505; Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters or a charity of donor's choice. H. D.
