The Norfolk Virginian, June 09, 1896

Reese-At 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Willie Earl, infant son of William T. and Josephine 
Reese, aged 2 years, 2 months, 2 days.
A bud the gardener gave us,
A pure and lovely child,
He gave unto our keeping to cherish undefiled,
But just as it was opening to the glories of the day,
Down came the Heavenly Gardener and took our Earl away.
