Norfolk Virginia Pilot February 16, 1939

Edward Swords Regan, 12-year-old son of Daniel A. and Mrs. Ella Swords Regan, 
died at 1:45 o'clock yesterday morning at the residence of his parents, 4 Three 
Sisters Apartments, 3001 Colonial Avenue, after a long illness. He was a native 
and lifelong resident of Norfolk, a pupil of the seventh grade in Sacred Heart 
School and was an altar boy in Sacred Heart Church and had many friends. Besides 
his parents, he is survived by one sister, Miss Helen Regan and several uncles 
and aunts.
Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church tomorrow morning 
at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be 
held at the residence tonight at 8 o'clock.

REGAN, EDWARD SWORDS – At the residence of his parents, No. 4 Three Sisters 
Apartments, 3001 Colonial avenue, Wednesday, February 15th, 1939, at 1:45 
o’clock a.m., EDWARD SWORDS, son of Daniel A. and Mrs. Ella Swords Regan, in the 
13th year of his age. Funeral services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, FRIDAY 
MORNING at 10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, 
St. Mary’s Cemetery.
