She was a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia and a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads. She was the daughter of Betty Kaffar Rehpelz and the late Charles A. Rehpelz, Jr. Lizzie graduated from Norfolk Catholic High School, class of 1980. She retired from the Virginia Beach Police Department after 31 years employment. She was a 911 Dispatcher and most recently a Precinct Desk Officer. She was also a life member of the Ocean Park Fire and Rescue Squad. She was a co-owner of the family-owned restaurant, Charlie's Seafood Restaurant, in Virginia Beach. She was a Roman Catholic and a member of the Church of the Holy Family and an avid Red Sox fan. Survivors include her loving mother, her sisters; Peggy Rehpelz Knorr and her husband Randell, Trisha Rehpelz and her brothers; Charlie A. Rehpelz III and Paul G. Rehpelz all of Virginia Beach, 8 Nieces and Nephews; Charlie IV, Alison, Kacie, Jacob, Randy, Josh, Zach and Natalie and 7 great-nieces and great-nephews; Anna, Abigail, Charlie V, Caroline, Hadley, Cecelia and Jack. The Christian Wake service will be held in the Laskin Road Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 7:00 PM followed by a visitation until 9:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Church of the Holy Family, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 12:00 PM. The Reverend Father Eric Ayers will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach PBA Chapter 34 Charity Fund C/O Zenith Bank or the Ocean Park Fire and Rescue Squad.
