The Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 10, 1937 
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Reid, aged 78, widow of Charles Campbell Reid, died at the 
residence, 1024 Thirty-fifth street, yesterday morning at 4:30 o'clock. She is 
survived by four daughters, Mrs. C.F. Daugherty and Mrs. Sadie Merritt, both of 
Norfolk; Mrs. W.D. Moore, of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. L.E. Critzer, of Annapolis, 
Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Cannon, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Fred Osterman, of 
Miami; a brother, George Loveley of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren. Mrs. Reid was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, and was 
the daughter of the late George and Mrs. Sarah Robinson Loveley.
 Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
