Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, May 30, 1991 
Glennie Reid, of the 2900 block of Earlscourt Ave., a retired silk presser and
clerk, died May 27, 1991, in a hospital.

She was a native of Eureka, N.C., and a member of First Baptist Church, Bute
Street. She retired from Virginia Cleaners after 30 years and from Norfolk Naval
Shipyard after four years.

Survivors include two sisters, Eleanor R. Compton of Washington and Helen Coley
of Lanham, Md.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Bute
Street, by the Rev. Robert Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A wake
service will be at 7p.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church at noon.
Friends may join the family at the residence. Graves Funeral Home is handling
arrangements.
