Norfolk - Mrs. Henrietta Edmunds Reid of 316 Fernwood Farms road died in her 
home.

A native of  Dinwiddie County, she was a daughter of Mike and Mrs. Mary J. Bland 
and the widow of the Rev. R. L. A. Reid.

She was a 50-year member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and a former member of its 
Gospel Choir, Missionary Circle, and Usher Board 1.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Fields of Norfolk and Mrs. Elmira 
E. Williams of Chesapeake;  a son, Roger Edmunds of Norfolk;  five sisters, Mrs. 
Ivull Boston of Norfolk and Mrs. Lottie Cephers, Mrs. Idell Williams, Mrs. 
Charlotte Martin, and Mrs. Vernell Barnett of Hackensack, NJ;  four brothers, 
Chester Bland and Major Bland of Petersburg  and Benjamin Bland and Linwood 
Bland of  Hackensack;  seven grandchildren;  13 great-grandchildren;  and two 
great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held in Mt. Olive Baptist Church  by Dr. H. T. Myers.  
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
