Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, April 29, 1992 
Emily Douthit Reid of the 2700 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., a retired nurse
and office manager, died April 28, 1992, in a hospital.

Mrs. Reid was born in Norfolk. She had retired from the office of the late Dr.
George E. Peace. She was a member and deaconess of Jerusalem Baptist Church and
was a member of Prudential Social and Civic Club and Broad Creek Road Civic League.

Survivors include her husband, Percy L. Reid; and a sister, Margaret D. Peace of
Norfolk.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Jerusalem Baptist Church by
the Rev. Thomas Venable. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be
from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will be placed in
the church at 10 a.m. Friends may join the family at the residence.

Memorial donations may be made to the church.
