A native of Eureka, NC, he was a son of Mrs. Lillie H. Reid. He was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church, Stantonsburg NC. Besides his mother, survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Eleanor R. Compton of Washington, Mrs. Helen Coley of Lanham, MD, and Miss Glennie Reid of Norfolk; and two brothers, Wilford Reid of Goldsboro, NC, and Hardy Reid of Norfolk. The body was sent to Riddick Funeral Service in Norfolk.
