Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, October 1, 1998 
Percy L. Reid of the 2700 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., died on Sunday,
Sept. 27, 1998, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mr. Reid was born in Norfolk and was a member of First Baptist Church Bute
Street. He retired from Captain Henry's Pawn Shop.

Survivors include a son, Tyrone Barr of Norfolk; a stepbrother, Bill Pendleton
of Queens, N.Y.; a niece, Carolyn Peace Smith of Lanham, Md.; and four nephews,
Dr. Earl Peace of Madison, Wis., Herman Douthit of Greenbelt, Md., John Douthit
of Fort Washington, Md., and Alan Douthit of Washington, D.C.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Bute
Street. A wake service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial
will be at Calvary Cemetery . Riddick Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
