Miss Ida Reid, 102, of 2918 Myrtle Ave, died Sunday.
She was a native of Norfolk and a teacher for 25 years at the Princess Anne 
County School. She was a graduate of The Norfolk Mission College and a 
member of its alumni association.
She was also a member of the National Teachers Association, Bank Street 
Memorial Church and Gleaner’s Circle.
Survivors include a niece, Miss Amy M. Reid of Norfolk; a nephew, Ellsworth 
Reid Sr., and a grandnephew, Ellsworth Reid Jr., of Washington; and a foster 
daughter, Miss Audrey Allen of Washington. 
A funeral will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Bank Street Memorial Baptist 
Church by the Rev. James C. Griffin. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. 
Twilight Funeral Home has Charge. The family will assemble at her home 
Wednesday at 2 p.m.
