Mrs. Nettie Jacox Reid
Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Jacox Reid who died after a long illness, Sunday, 
Oct. 22, were held from the St. James AME Church Thursday afternoon with the Rev. 
A. J. Brown, officiating, assisted by the Rev. H. B. Threadgill. Other musical 
selections were rendered by Mrs. Mamie Linnett and Mrs. Mary Wilson. The Daughter 
Elks and three clubs of which Mrs. Reid was a member, attended in a body. She is 
survived by her husband, Delaware Reid; father D. W. Jacox; three sisters, Mrs. 
Mary Miller, Mrs. Pearl Frazier and Mrs. Martha Sessoms, and two brothers, Jordan 
and Shedrick Jacox. Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery with the Chatman Funeral 
Home in charge.
