Norfolk - George Reid Jr., the husband of Mrs. Mary Reid, of 305 E. 25th 
Street, died February 23 in his home, after a short illness.

A native of Norfolk, VA, he was formerly employed at Fine Oil Co. for 12 
years.   He was a Baptist.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Margaret E. Reid, Brooklyn NY;  two 
brothers, Mr. John W. Etheridge;  and William F. Reid, both of Norfolk VA.

A funeral service was held Sunday, March 3 in Garrett Community Church by 
Rev. Henry Nixon.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  Hale Funeral Home had 
charge.
