Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. July 7 at Riddick’s Funeral Chapel with the Rev. H. Scott officiating. A native of Norfolk, Mr. Rencher was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James E. L. Rencher. He lived in New York City until four months ago. He was a World War II veteran. Survivors include five sisters, Mesdames Dorothy Burton, G. A. Jones, Allora Goode, Beulah Land, and Nellie Austin; three brothers, James Quinton, and Lloyd Rencher; two nieces and several nephews. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick’s Funeral Home in charge.
