Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, May 31, 1992 
Mattie I. Render, of the 1300 block of Kempsville Road, died May 28, 1992, in a
hospital.

Mrs. Render was born in Middlesex County. She was the widow of Joseph H. Render.
She was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star
Wheaton Chapter 73.

Survivors include two daughters, Ethel M. Sharpe and Florence O. Hill, both of
Norfolk; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in First Calvary Baptist Church
by the Rev. Johnnie White. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join
the family at 2504 Leo St., Apt. 3. The body will be placed in the church at 10
a.m. Wednesday. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
