Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, December 30, 1994
Mrs. Mary E. Resper, 85, of the 1300 block of Merrimac Ave., a native of Norfolk 
and the widow of Joseph Resper, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 1994, in Heritage Hall 
Nursing Home. 

She was a lifelong member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church where she was 
affiliated with the Emily B. Jordan Missionary Circle, the Roy Woods Sunday 
School Class and the August Birth Month Club. 

Survivors include a niece, Marlene Boyd of Norfolk; two nephews, Earl L. Boyd 
Jr. of San Jose, Calif., and Walter A. Boyd of Detroit; great-nephews, Glen Lee 
Boyd and his son, Glen Lee Jones of Norfolk, and Earl L. Boyd III of San Jose. 

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 1995, in Bank Street 
Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Cedric Kirkland-Harris officiating. Burial 
will be in Calvary Cemetery with Graves Funeral Home handling arrangements. The 
family will be at the home of Marlene Boyd in Norfolk.
