"Buster" Reutt, 87, died peacefully in his sleep Aug. 18, 2004, after a gallant battle with Alzheimers and cancer, in Hollywood, Fla. Raymond was loved and admired by all who knew him for his willingness to lend a helping hand and his enthusiasm for life. He graduated from VMI and was a retired merchant marine. He was one of the first original residents of Chesapeake Beach and was a founding member and past president of the Chesapeake Beach Athletic Association in 1941 and 1942. Raymond "Buster" was the son of the late Mary and Raymond F. Reutt. He is survived by his wife, Anita, and her children; his brother, James, and his sons, Peter and Andrew; his sister, Emily, and her sons Mark, Richard and Stephen; and a number of cousins who grew up with him; his very close and dearest of friends, Evelyn G. Colonna; and a longtime, good friend, Osie Garrison. Hollomon-Brown graciously handled the funeral arrangements in Norfolk. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk.
