Virginian Pilot May 23, 1911 

Mrs. Lucy Alice Reynolds, wife of Matthews M. Reynolds, died at her home at 10 
o'clock a.m. yesterday, after an illness of more than a year's duration, in the 
53rd year of her age. The deceased was a native of Richmond, but had been a 
resident of Norfolk for over eighteen years, where she was well known and most 
highly esteemed for her many beautiful traits of character.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Miss Annie L. Reynolds, 
teacher in Brambleton School No. 1 and one son, Americus G. Reynolds, of 
Norfolk.
The funeral will be solemnized from her late residence at 4 o'clock this 
afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. Reubin Meredith, of St. Peter's 
Episcopal Church, of which the deceased was a communicant.
