Marshall and Eliza O. Rhea, in the 29th year of his age. The funeral will take place from the residence of parents, No. 127 Mariner Street, FRIDAY AFTERNOON at 5 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Kindly omit flowers. *********************************************************************** Mr. Eugene Rhea, a well known citizen of Norfolk, died very suddenly yesterday afternoon at 12:20 o'clock, in No. 21 Bank Street. He complained of feeling quite ill and a physician was hastily summoned but before one could reach Mr. Rhea he had expired. The deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Rhea, of Mariner Street, and a brother of Mr. G.M. Rhea, and was 28 years of age. Coroner Patts will hold an inquest over his remains this morning. His funeral services will take place tomorrow afternoon at 5 o'clock from the home of his parents. Virginian Pilot July 18, 1901 ****************************************************************************** The obsequies of Mr. Eugene Rhea, whose sudden and untimely death has been noted in these columns, were held from the residence of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Rhea, No. 127 Mariner Street, at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon and was largely attended by the friends of the deceased. The services were conducted by Rev. J.J. Taylor, of the Freemason Street Baptist Church. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Messrs. Thomas Cashin, Edgar White, Edward Johnson, A. Lagorio, E.D. Hart, James V. Trehy, Richard Johnson and J. Sidney Smith.
