Norfolk - Mrs. Leola G. Rhodes of 2416 Hanson Ave., died June 15 in a city 
hospital.

A native of Lumberton, NC, she was a member of St. Mary’s Holy Mt. Christian 
Church.

Survivors include a son, James Rhodes of Norfolk;  three sisters, Mrs. Rethes 
Wilson, Arlington;  Mrs. Lillie Franks, Richmond;  and Mrs. Pollie Hammond, 
Lumberton;  four brothers, Garfield Rozier of Washington, Ernest Rozier and 
Ruben Rozier, Lumberton;  Giles Rozier, Bridgeport CT;  nine grandchildren;  and 
eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held June 19 in St. Mary’s Holy Mt. Christian Church by 
the Rev. Mary Johnson, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.  Graves Funeral Home had 
charge.
