Captain Rhodes was a native of Philadelphia, but had been a resident of this place since 1885. He had followed water most of his life and was well known among the seafaring men. In addition to his widow he is survived by eight children. They are Mrs. Mary Robertson, Rhodie E., Miss Annie A., Charles H., Norman N., George E., Miss Ida L. and Henry R. Rhodes. The funeral will take place at the above residence Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock and burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
