Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark July 7, 1918

The funeral of Samuel Allen Rhodes, Jr., infant son of Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Rhodes, 
of Mozart Avenue, occurred at the residence yesterday at 4 o'clock. Rev. R.J. 
Dogan, of the Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church, conducted the service, during 
which M.C. Haynes sang "Sleep On, Beloved." There were numerous floral offerings.  
Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
