Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 27, 1943

Capt. Jesse T. Rhodes, aged 81, husband of Mrs. Kate Kessler Rhodes, a native of 
Virginia, died at Plymouth, N.C., yesterday morning at 2 o'clock.  Besides his 
wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. W.H. Clarke, of Plymouth.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments 
Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. P. Rowland Wagner, pastor of the 
Central Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
