Janet Marie Rice (nee Leombruno) died peacefully in her Richmond home on 
Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the age of 91, following a brief hospitalization 
and illness. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Janet was the oldest daughter of Ormando 
J. Leombruno and Carolina Iantosca Leombruno.
There will be a visitation with the family on Friday, January 19, at H.D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments at 1501 Colonial Avenue, Norfolk, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. A Roman 
Catholic funeral mass will be Saturday, January 20th at 11 a.m. at Blessed 
Sacrament Church, 6400 Newport Avenue, Norfolk. The family invites guests to 
join them at a reception at Blessed Sacrament immediately following mass. The 
graveside interment at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 3000 Church Street, 
Norfolk, will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon after the reception. In 
lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Janet's memory to the 
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org). For full obituary and to
