Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, July 25, 1998 
Dorothy J. Richard, 66, of the 1300 block of W. 39th St., died July 22, 1998, of
cancer at her home.

Born in Key West, Fla., she was a retired homemaker and the widow of Hilbert J.
Richard. She was the daughter of the late Margaret Evans and Elbridge Curry,
both formerly of Key West.

Survivors include two daughters, Michelle E Godwin of Chesapeake and Marcia E.
Richard of Norfolk; a son, Michael C. Richard of Norfolk; a sister, Dorethea
Murrell of Key West; a brother, Elbridge Curry of Key West; grandchildren,
Michael C. Richard Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz., Danielle N. Godwin and Richard H.
Godwin, both of Chesapeake; great-grandchildren, Makhayla Richard and Morgan
Richard, both of Phoenix; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear
friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Hale Funeral Home Chapel. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery
