Jesse J. Richardson, 40, of 1016 Appomatox street, who died in a hospital after 
a short illness on Nov. 6, was given final rites at the Pretlow Funeral Home 
with the Rev. Eugene Gay officiating.

A native of Spring Hope,NC, Mr. Richardson was buried in Mt. Olive Cemetery.

The deceased was employed as a chauffeur by a lumber company here for four 
years.

Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Richardson, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. 
Lillie Richardson;  four sons, Jesse Jr., Alphonso, Willie and Calvin 
Richardson;  two daughters, Mrs. Ida White and Miss Katherine Richardson, all of 
Norfolk;  three sisters, Mrs. Mittie Mangum and Miss Myrtle Richardson of 
Norfolk and Mrs. Ora Hatton of Detroit;  and two brothers, David Richardson of 
Nash County, NC and Freeman Richardson of Norfolk.
